Welcome... what a powerful word for people looking for a place to rest, relax and just be oneself.
A little over a year ago, I started blogging and wondered if I was up for this uncertain road. I'm not exactly a techie person and the idea of connecting with people outside my usual sphere was exciting yet scary.
But I wanted to write. I wanted to share what I wrote. I wanted to find my own voice in this big new world of cyberspace.
I also dreamed of writing a book. I wanted to know what people thought of my writing. So this blog became the stage for my somewhat unsure and small efforts at writing.
It was then that Writer's Space was born, my space for reflections, insights, poems, short stories...
But for days, weeks and months, no one knew I was around. No one read my posts except maybe for a few friends who I somehow fooled into following my blog. But who was I kidding?
I knew I needed help. But I didn't know where to go.
Until I found the SITS Girls.
The SITS Girls is a blogging network composed of a group of 40,000 women bloggers dedicated to supporting one another by leaving comments and learning about blogging. One great way the SITS Girls support one another is by featuring a daily blogger. When I signed up with SITS, I thought that was pretty cool. Today, I'm the featured blogger and it sure feels great!
Through SITS, I've met some pretty awesome bloggers. My blog now has an audience. And reading people's comments always make my day.
To the SITS Girls - thank you for making me feel welcome. Thank you for a wonderful day!
